Bordeaux is home to some of the most famous and therefore most expensive wines in the world. Moreover most of the grape varieties that developed there are now grown internationally, and are familiar names on wine bottles, i.e.

  • Cabernet Sauvignon
  • Merlot
  • Cabernet Franc
  • Petit Verdot
  • Malbec
  • Sauvignon Blanc
  • Semillon

And whilst it is the red wines which are best known, Bordeaux also produces sweet and dry style whites.

The tasting will feature a red and white wine from Bordeaux plus wines from the New World that are based on grape varieties grown in Bordeaux

As usual there will be a selection of quality breads and cheeses.

Places are £15.

To help planning please book as far in in advance as practical.
